Thanksgiving Day Outfit

Thanksgiving Day with the whole family or even your man’s family? Deciding what to wear can be challenging, so IĀ am sharing how to put together the perfect Thanksgiving Day outfit.

From the time I can remember I have always loved the holidays. Thanksgiving Day is special because we have a family tradition of watching the Macy’s Parade to start our day. Well, all of us except my sister Cassie, she loves to sleep in. šŸ™‚

Once the parade is over, football is on TV while my mom and I start to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. I enjoyed being the helper for my mom growing up but now that prepareĀ a few dishes myself, it is even more special.

One dish that always completes the meal is sweet potato casserole topped with extra marshmallows. Oh how I love this dish!

When it comes to what to wear, it totally depends on the type of Thanksgiving you will be attending. Is it a casual gathering with games and football in the backyard, or are you attending a more formal Thanksgiving Dinner? Maybe somewhere in-between? I think for the majority of people it is somewhere in the middle of all of them.

With that thought in mind, I styled this outfit for a casual gathering that transitions into a nice semi-formal dinner. Keep in mind we are having a very mild winter in Texas, so this may not apply to everyone across the country. I chose a dress because, is it ever a bad thing to be a little over dressed? To me absolutely not, I would rather be over dressed. I promise this Thanksgiving Day Outfit will NOT fail you! For my El Paso friends, this outfit is available at Cheeky Chicks on 5024 Doniphan.

I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving this year, reflecting on what we are truly thankful for.

xx, Lexi
